Only Artist Owned and Operated Gallery in Syracuse Opens November 13th, 2015
“Don’t you think it’s time for Syracuse to have its own Artist owned and operated gallery, run like a cooperative?” “Let’s do it!”
Armory Artworks Gallery will open its doors for a Gala Open House, featuring fine arts and crafts handmade by Central New York artists. The Open House, will be held Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Armory Artworks Gallery is located at 136 Walton St., Armory Square, (upstairs), Syracuse, NY 13202.
We have scheduled various art based presentations for the Open House. For example, Vanessa Johnson, one of our artists and international storyteller, will perform. Many of our artists will be in attendance. All events are free and open to the public. Schedule of events will soon be posted at our website: ArmoryArtworks.com.
Armory Artworks artists work in a variety of media, encompassing silk, ceramics, metal, pastel, acrylics, glass, print, fiber and sculpture. Our collection is eclectic including both functional and decorative objects and those that just make you think! Our artists staff and operate The Gallery, affording the public an opportunity to meet the people who create the work for sale. We are committed to carrying on the handmade arts and craft tradition of upstate New York and supporting the Buy Local movement.
